Software Engineers (Athens)

Job Description:

The appropriate candidate will join a team of highly qualified and motivated professionals involved in the design and implementation of applications that are intended for the European Public Sector.

Responsibilities:

▪ Performing technical analysis and defining technical specifications

▪ Developing and implementing software applications

▪ Developing, implementing and conducting application tests

▪ Administering & supporting delivered solutions

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Required Skills:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or other related field

• At least 2 years of work experience as software engineer

• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structure, algorithms, and software design

• Coding skills in Java

• Excellent command of the English language (written & verbal)

Desired Skills:

• Skills in database design, SQL, IoC frameworks (Spring, Guice), JPA, Maven, JavaScript, GWT, Struts 2.0, SiteMesh

• Experience in Enterprise Integration

• Large scale systems implementation experience with knowledge of Unix/Linux, application servers (JBoss/Weblogic) and database servers (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL)

Personal Characteristics:

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Highly self-motivated and methodical, with attention to detail

• Ability to work effectively as member of a team

• Able to integrate in a multinational environment
